Studio Happens - 06/02/10

Tons of stuff going on in my studio as of late, which would explain my lack of updating my page. The main project has been all 21 songs structured and recorded for my upcoming collaboration album for Eastsliderz.com. So far, I have structured all the songs and sent them out to all the artists. Currently, I have over 10 different musicians writing to my tunes !! Some have already come in to record. Looks like my release date for mid august is still a go .. stay tuned !!

I have also been working on my first audio to video project for my new comedian friend Matin Atrushi. I created a Middle Eastern beat and then added it to his already shot footage. Not going to give too much away on this one, but be on the look out.

Lastly, I have been recording some acoustic tunes for Heather Green. They are sounding great so far. We have got 5 songs so far recorded and mixed. Once I have a few 100% complete, some examples will be thrown on my music page. Good stuff.

New Client List/Music Page

I have finally found some time to modify my music page. In the process, I also added a full client list to the left of my page. To learn more about the musicians I record and to hear their tunes, either click on their name under the client list or the music page. Some good stuff there !!

In other news, the Chad Cavanaugh masters are complete. Stayed tuned for the release of his first full length, and in the mean time you can preview his tunes right here on my page.

I am now starting to really crack down on the Eastsliderz project. I have polished off some of the beats and sent them out to some of the artists I am working with. I should have some new tunes to share soon !!

Studio News 02/25/10

I have been working hard on the Chad Cavanaugh mixes as of late, and am happy to say that I have completed all of the first mixes. Chad will be coming into the studio today to take listen to them and we will take it from there. Once we have agreed on the songs, I will move onto mastering them. They should be available soon !!

Eshone also stopped by the studio this week. We have started on a song together. So far, we have got the drums and bass set. I have added some synth parts, and we will get together next week sometime to continue working on it together. Its sounding pretty cool so far.

And, as always, I am continuing to work on the Eastsliderz project. I am up to 11 different beats, and am plugging away to finalize some of them. I am excited about these songs, and will let you know once I have some more for you to listen to.

Studio News 02/05/10

Got plenty going on nowadays. Most recently started recording Gregg O'Connells new album. He came in earlier this week and we laid down guitar and vox for one song. Also, Chad Cavanaugh stopped by to listen to the new beats and sounds I constructed for six new songs. Sounding pretty good so far, and these should be ready soon.

I have been chipping away at the Eastsliderz project. I have upped the beat in progress count to 9, yes, 9 new beats. Pretty excited about this. Plan on doing some pretty heavy beat structuring coming up, then start recording all the collaborations. I want to have 4-5 of this songs completed by the end of this month, so stay tuned !!

Also, have decided to put together a new DJ mix. I have just started, but have selected 10 of what I want to be 20 tunes. More on this to come.

Studio news 01/26/10

I have finished those two mastering projects a couple of weeks ago (Rob Deez/BCE), then had my studio flooded by rain. So, I had about a week hiatus from working in my studio. It has sinced dried out and as of monday have been working intently on getting some new beats and synths done for new Chad Cavanaugh songs. This is coming along very nicely, and I have Chad coming in on Thursday to have him take a listen. From there, I will move onto stucturing and mixing !!

Also, I have written the sounds for the second Eastsliderz song, and have started writing the third. The song I just finished writing for is a slower tempo song, that will have a guest dj cutting over the beat. The third song will be a more punk electro song which will feature a guest vocalist and guest guitarist. For the Fourth Eastsliderz song, I have my buddy Dorian coming in to sing vocals over an instrumental song we both have been working on.

So, thats it for now. Still getting back in the swing of things since my vacation, and hope to have new music soon. Keep an ear out !!

Over the weekend, I was able to finish two mastering projects I was working on. Rob Deez's 1st album, and a new album coming from B.C.E. I will need to go back and give them a second listen, but be ready, because I will soon give a copy to each respective artist then these albums should be released shortly !!

I have hit the New Year by finishing up writing music for the second song that will be used for the Eastsliderz release. Once I have finished structuring this song, I will outsource it to one of my dj buddies, they will add some sick cuts to it and send it back to me, then i will mix it down and let you all hear it. Should come out sounding awesome.

I have also started writing some new beats/keys/strings for the new Chad Cavanaugh songs. This is coming along nicely as well. Should be ready to have Chad come in and check them out soon. Keep an eye and ear out for these new songs, they are sounding cool thus far.

I have also been mastering the 1st Rob Deez album. A while ago i finished mixing/mastering his 2nd. This 1st album was previously mixed, I am just touching it up, adjusted levels and eqs and such. This should be finished sometime next week.

After a two week vacation, i am back in San Diego and am hitting the studio hard working on some new tunes. Last night I started mixing a cool R n B song for an Artist known as Lavelle. Its sounding really cool so far. I also started writing strings for a new Chad Cavanaugh song. This song is going to turn out special, keep an eye out for the finished product.

I will also be writing some new tunes for Eastsliderz. Keep checking back, 2010 is going to be another year of great music and good times !! Happy New Year !!!
