This is by far one of my favorite new albums of 2009.  Its fun, well writen music.  All six songs.  Seriously, you can't really spend 6 bucks on anything better.  The highlight for me was Friends Fur Life, the 5th song in.  Catchy chorus, great lyrics, and cool music structure.  This EP also takes a cool and unique turn with the song Cholita, where Chris decides to test his rapping and rhyming skills.  To me, it works out great, and fits the tone of the EP perfectly.  Overall, great EP, great music, check it out and buy it, you'll love it ..; all six songs of it, trust me.

I went to see Rob play last night to support his first showing at the Casbah, plus he's an overall cool dude.  I showed up right at 9, enjoyed a bud light while i waited for his set to start, which was around 9:30 ..

I got to tell you, I have also seen him play once before as well, he is one entertaining act.  A very simple but effective act.  It was just Rob on guitar and vocals, with Josh Domingo backing him the occasional beat box and vocals.  The general style, i guess you would say, is acoustic rap.  Rob plucks at the guitar, spitting out rhymes that are both intelligent and downright humerous at times.  I found myself bobbing my head one minute, then chuckling the next.  The banter between Josh and Rob was great too.  Really fit into their act well, and made for a very fun atmosphere.  At one point, Rob handed his guitar to Josh, so that he had some time to drink his beer and still perform.  Brilliant !!  While he was without his guitar, he continued to drop lyrical dynamite, and busted out some of the best dance moves in San Diego

There were definitely some songs that stick out in for me from this show.  Jackie being the first.  This song is about a girl in his chemisty class. This song had me cracking up throughout.  Clever lyrics and a catchy tone.  The other song that sticks out to me is Jesusburger Takeout.  This was the last song he played for the night.  It is pretty much a dig at vegans and vegaterians .. and how much meat he eats because its delicious.

Check out Rob Deez, you won't be disapointed, his shows are among the more entertaining you will see in the local SD area.
